Our story began with Hans Gustav Ehrenreich’s desire to create unique and beautiful pieces of art using natural materials. This passion for craftsmanship is evident in all of our products and has been carried on through generations.
In the late 1960s, Gustav Ehrenreich created the happy movement that has since found a place in Danish design history.There is a happy Hoptimist for every occasion, and you can always find a Hoptimist who wants to please wherever it ends up. Spreading joy and putting smiles on everyone's lips is the whole idea behind the Hoptimist movement.
The first prototypes
At Hoptimist, our products are more than just decoration. Our story began in the late 1960s with the creation of our first prototypes - Bimble and Bumble - by our founder, Ehrenreich. Since then, our Hoptimists have become well-known for their cheerful, optimistic designs that bring joy to any home. Our products are a reminder to brighten up your day and cherish the simple things in life.
