Description
"Vitra's Physix Task Chair was designed by Alberto Meda, the lightweight, streamlined office chair guarantees excellent comfort with its sophisticated design. The high-tech chair is equipped with all the necessary features for an ergonomic seating experience and its understated design is ideally suited to a diverse range of home office environments." - Vitra

The Physix task chair's seat structure is based on the idea of stretching a textile panel between the sides of the seat frame before adding a five-star base equipped with castors.
With Physix, despite its seemingly simple structure, designer Alberto Meda has taken the classic office chair to a whole new level by using state-of-the-art materials and production technologies to create a dynamic sitting experience and freedom of movement.
The name Physix says it all, this unique office swivel chair by Vitra follows the body movement of the sitting person in all directions, even diagonally! This new dynamic sitting experience is enabled by the interplay of three elements: A flexible frame construction, an elastic fabric cover, and a stabilising mechanism.

Thanks to the highly stressable and uniform fabric cover that envelops both the seat and the back upholstery, the Physix Office Swivel Chair features a transparency that provides the Vitra chair with a special visual lightness.

Brand

Starting as a furniture producer, it paved its way to manufacturing and ultimately became the powerhouse design institution we see today.
