The designer Erwan Bouroullec (1976 in Quimper, France) is a graduate of the École Nationale Supérieure d'Arts de Paris-Cergy (ENSAPC). After completing his studies in 1998, he joined the studio that had been founded by his brother Ronan in 1995 and the two formed a complementary duo. They have collaborated with Vitra since 1999 on the development of numerous important products and concepts for home and office. In 2023 the brothers parted ways and now work independently from one another.
