Description
The Eames House Bird gained fame in the 1950s when Charles and Ray Eames featured it in a poster with DKR chairs. This sleek black bird, dating from around 1910, was a cherished piece of American folk art in their home. Frequently seen in their photos, it became an iconic accessory. Vitra, in collaboration with the Eames family, recreated the bird using 3D scans of the original, crafting it from solid alder wood.
