Vitra's Resting Bird is one of Front's collections of Resting Animals. The smaller designs are decorative ceramic figures depicting two birds in different sizes.

Arranged on the sideboard, on the shelf or on the table, the small ceramic birds set noble. At the same time cosy accents that stylishly enhance any ambience.
As part of the Resting Animal series from Vitra, other animals from Front Design such as Bears or Cat are available in various colours.

Sofia Lagerkvist and Anna Lindgren both from Sweden founded the Stockholm-based design studio Front in 2004. Their work constantly questions the design process, whether through their collaborations with animals or their experiments with advanced technology like in the project Sketch Furniture. Besides, they have developed objects for major design brands across the world. Galerie Kreo represented Paris and Friedman Benda in New York.
Brand
Vitra is much more than a brand but rather a staple of design. Established in 1950 in Birsfelden, Switzerland, the brand has left its mark on design history through its transcending path. Starting as a furniture producer, it paved its way to manufacturing and ultimately became the powerhouse design institution we see today.
