Description

The Panton Chair Junior features bright colors and a playful form that delights children. This plastic cantilever chair has become a classic in design history, with its sweeping shape making a striking aesthetic statement in both the large and junior versions.

It is a cantilever chair manufactured of synthetic material and with a matt surface. The instantly recognisable cantilevered silhouette is the world's first chair to be manufactured from a single piece of plastic.

Material Description:

  • Back, seat and base:  dyed-through polypropylene. Matt finish.
  • Outdoor use:  suitable for utilisation outdoors on a temporary or seasonal basis, following care instructions. After prolonged exposure to the elements, clean and store away in a dry, sheltered place to ensure lasting use and avoid any deterioration in appearance.
  • Safety information:  chair suitable for children aged 3 to 10 and for max. 34 kg (74 lbs). For children under the age of 3, there is an increased risk of a fall or of the chair tipping over. Do not let your child climb on the chair. Always make sure the chair is used in a safe place. A chair standing by a window, for example, may result in a child falling from a dangerous height.

Verner Panton, 1959/2006

Verner Panton was an influential figure in the development of design during the 1960s and 70s. After moving to Switzerland in the early 1960s, the Danish designer became known for his inventive, novel ideas for furnishings, lighting and textiles. The masterful use of colour was a hallmark of his work.
