Panton Chair Special Edition

Description

Designed in 1960 and developed for mass production with Vitra in 1967, the Panton chair is a twentieth-century design icon made entirely of plastic. It has won numerous international design awards and is part of many prestigious museum collections.

Its comfort stems from a cantilever structure combined with an anthropomorphic shape and slightly flexible material, making it suitable for both individual and group use in indoor and outdoor settings.

Verner Panton was an influential figure in the development of design during the 1960s and 70s. After moving to Switzerland in the early 1960s, the Danish designer became known for his inventive, novel ideas for furnishings, lighting and textiles.
