Tip Ton RE

Description

Tip Ton RE is an all-plastic chair with a forward-tilt action, which is manufactured from post-consumer recycling material. The name Tip Ton refers to the chair's characteristic dual sitting postures: from a normal position, Tip Ton RE can be tipped forwards a few degrees. This forward-tilt position straightens the pelvis and spine and thus improves circulation to the abdominal and back muscles.

Back, Seat, Base: Polypropylene / Recycled polypropylene, 100% recyclable.

Glides: Polypropylene / Recycled polyethylene.

Stacking: Tip Ton / Tip Ton RE can be stacked up to 4 chairs high on the floor, up to 11 on a stacking trolley. A stacking trolley is separately available.

Note: Due to the composition of the recycled material, the Tip Ton / Tip Ton RE colours exhibit very subtle specks of pigment.
Outdoor use:  suitable for utilisation outdoors on a temporary or seasonal basis, following care instructions. After prolonged exposure to the elements, clean and store away in a dry, sheltered place to ensure lasting use and avoid any deterioration in appearance.

Designer

Edward Barber & Jay Osgerby, 2011/2020

Edward Barber, born in Shrewsbury in 1969, and Jay Osgerby, born in Oxford in 1969, studied architecture and interior design as fellow students at the Royal College of Art in London. In 1996, they founded their own studio for design and architecture under the name Barber & Osgerby. Since that time, their collaborative work has probed the interface between industrial design, furniture design, and architecture.
