Description

String® Pocket metal is sold as a complete shelf but is equally flexible as String® System. String® Pocket invites creativity and personality where you can combine two or three String® Pocket shelves into one larger shelf. Mix and match different colours to suit your style and preferences. Since the shelf is neat and practical it fits equally well as a nightstand as an extra shelf in your hallway. The perforated metal shelves with low edge, 2 cm, makes it possible to add hooks and rods (30 cm and 58 cm) to increase the storage possibilities.

Designer

Nisse Strinning, 1949

Nisse Strinning, a Swedish architect born in 1917 in northern Sweden, completed his studies at the KTH (Royal Institute of Technology) in 1947. He designed the first String shelf in 1949 with his wife, Kajsa Strinning, for a competition held by the Swedish publishing house Bonniers. String was selected winner and has been a classic Swedish design icon for decades. In 2005, Nisse's last contribution to the String assortment was the String Pocket, which simplified the String System further.
