High Tray

Description

Beginning with a Rotary Tray, Jasper Morrison expands his idea into an invention of a High Tray. His intention was to bring a classical presentation bowl into the contemporary context. When you look at the High Tray you can speak of a successful result.

Thanks to the carefully coordinated selection of materials and colors available in the Vitra Colour & Material Library, products by Vitra can be effortlessly combined to create diverse, individual collages. 

A flat bowl with soft curves made of food-safe plastic rests on a 12 cm high foot that skillfully picks up on the shape of the bowl. Available in various bright and discreet colors, the tray can be wonderfully integrated into any ambiance and can be used for numerous purposes. High Tray can be used as a fruit bowl or cake plate in the kitchen, as a collection container for keys and wallets in the hallway, or as decorative storage for cosmetics in the bathroom.

Jasper Morrison lives and works in London and Tokyo. His designs are expressions of the super normal design philosophy: rather than seeking unusual or extravagant results, he often breathes new life into proven solutions by means of reinterpretation, further development, and refinement. He has worked together with Vitra on a regular basis since 1989.

Vitra is much more than a brand but rather a staple of design. Established in 1950 in Birsfelden, Switzerland, the brand has left its mark on design history through its transcending path. Starting as a furniture producer, it paved its way to manufacturing and ultimately became the powerhouse design institution we see today.
