Designer Profile

Christian Flensted

Christian Flensted became known as the "Uromager", a name impossible to translate into English, which means a "maker of mischievous things that are always on the move." In 1956 Christian Flensted gave up his job to devote his entire effort to the fledgling mobiles business, then based in Aalborg, Jutland.

However, this led to the business moving back to its home island of Funen and founding "The Stork's Nest" in Tommerup. By 1971, production had grown so much that new premises were needed, and they moved to the old school "Frederiksminde" near Brenderup, Funen, which is still the FLENSTED MOBILE CENTRE.
