Selepas menamatkan ijazah dalam reka bentuk industri di Ecole Cantonale d'Art de Lausanne (ECAL), pereka dari Switzerland Michel Charlot telah bekerja untuk Jasper Morrison Ltd di Paris, London dan Tokyo. Pada tahun 2011, beliau menubuhkan studionya sendiri di Basel dan sejak itu beliau telah bekerja untuk beberapa pelanggan berprestij. Kerjasama beliau dengan Vitra bermula pada tahun 2013.
